Reconciliation Room Windows

The main window in the room is a duplication of the Baptism of Christ window in the main body of the Church. To the right of this window are the Greek letters chi shaped like an X and equivalent to ch and rho shaped like a P and equivalent to r. Together they are chr, standing for Christ. Also there are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, Alpha like an A standing for beginning and Omega like an upside down U, standing for end. God is our creator, our beginning, and also the end, the goal of life. The other window, pictured here, has a tassel and keys. Both symbols refer to authority and in particular to the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the power to forgive sins.
